Seat the table. The till keeps up.
Every service, the same small tax: a guest is seated in the diary, then someone keys the same table into the till. And at the end of the night, someone goes through the diary closing off bookings the till already knows are finished.
Connect Square and both jobs disappear. Mark a booking as seated — from the calendar, the floor plan, or the booking itself — and a check opens on Square, named after the table. When the bill is settled, the booking is marked completed on its own, and the total is recorded as that guest's spend.
- A check at the till the moment you seat the table
- Bookings close themselves when the bill is paid
- Every visit's spend lands on the guest's profile
You mark the booking Seated in Make a Rezzy — a check opens on Square, named after the table.
The bill is settled on Square — the booking is marked Completed and the total is saved as the guest's visit spend.
From booking to bill, no double entry
Square looks after the bill. Make a Rezzy looks after the diary. The integration is the bridge between them — here's what it does across a service.
-
Before
serviceBookings arrive in your diary, not your inbox
Guests book through a widget on your own website, styled to match your brand. Confirmations and reminders go out automatically, and the whole night is laid out on a live calendar and floor plan before the first cover walks in.
-
During
serviceThe diary and the till agree on every table
Seat a booking and the check is already at the till, named after the table — no keying the same party in twice, no checks opened against the wrong table. Your staff add the order on Square as normal.
-
When the
bill's paidSpend becomes guest knowledge
As checks are settled, bookings close themselves — no going through the diary at the end of the night. Each check total is recorded against the guest, building lifetime spend and average spend per cover on their profile, so you can see who your best tables really are and win them back.
Connecting takes a couple of minutes
What you need
- A Square account with at least one location
- Tables on your Make a Rezzy floor plan
- That's it — connect from your integrations page
What you don't
- A Square for Restaurants Plus upgrade — a standard Square account is enough
- A second reservations subscription on top of your POS
- An integration fee — connecting Square is included
Square's own route to table reservations is its OpenTable integration, which requires a Square for Restaurants Plus or Premium plan and an OpenTable Core or Pro subscription on top. Make a Rezzy connects to your Square account directly.
Square and reservations, asked and answered
Does Square have a built-in reservation system for restaurants?
Not for tables. Square Appointments is built for appointment businesses such as salons, and Square's own route to restaurant reservations is a third-party integration. Make a Rezzy is a reservation system that connects to Square directly, so your diary and your till stay in sync.
Do I need Square for Restaurants Plus?
No. Make a Rezzy connects to a standard Square account with at least one location. You do not need a paid Square for Restaurants plan.
What syncs between Make a Rezzy and Square?
Two things. When you seat a booking, a check opens on Square named after the table. When the check is paid and closed, the booking is marked as completed and the check total is recorded as the guest's spend for that visit. No menu items, tips, or card details are shared.
Does Make a Rezzy process payments?
No. The bill, tips, and card handling all stay on Square. Make a Rezzy never sees payment details.
How much does it cost?
Make a Rezzy does not charge any additional fee the integration. We continue to charge $1.25 per seated cover, capped at $125 a month on direct bookings. No subscription, and the Square integration is included.
Pricing that's on your side
$1.25 per seated cover
