Restaurant table management with a live floor plan

See your room as it is right now: which tables are free, which are sat and who is on each one. Design a layout for every service, seat a walk-in in two taps, and let online bookings fill only the tables that fit.

Included in every account. $1.25 per cover, no subscription.

An example evening. Pick a time to see the room change.

See the room as it is right now

The live floor plan is the screen to keep open at the host stand. It shows the layout in use right now, with every table coloured by whether it's free or occupied, and the guest's name and party size on each occupied table.

It's kept read-only, so nothing gets moved by accident in the middle of service. To change a booking's table, drag it in the booking diary.

What's next on a free table
Click a free table to see its next booking, or create a booking with the table already chosen.
Notes where you need them
A marker shows on a table when its booking has special requests or notes.
Money to collect
A dot on the table flags an amount still owed, or a deposit to take off the bill.

Design every layout you run

Build your floor plan once in the editor, then add as much detail as you like. The booking system uses it to decide which tables it can offer.

  • Tables as they really are

Name each table, set its seats, choose round or rectangular, then drag, resize and rotate it into place.

  • A plan for each service

Keep separate plans for lunch and dinner, or summer with the patio open, and link each to the times it runs.

  • Counters and communal tables

Mark a counter or long bench as shared, so more than one booking can sit at it at once.

A walk-in seated in two taps

In the mobile app, tap Walk-in, then Seat now. The party size and the best free table that fits them are already filled in, so a walk-in is on a table and in the diary without typing anything. Change either one first if you need to; a name and phone number are optional.

It's the same two taps from the floor view: tap a free table, then Seat now. Taking a booking by phone works the same way, with the best free fit suggested.

On a tablet, the app's floor view colours every table by who is seated, who is due next and which are free.

Right-sized tables
A table's seats are checked against the party size, so a party of six isn't offered a two-top.
Joined tables for big parties
A booking can span tables that have been joined together, and moves as one.
Tables out of use
Take a table off every plan and it simply isn't offered, without deleting it.

Questions about table management

What is restaurant table management software?

It keeps track of your tables and who is sitting at them: a floor plan of your room, which tables are free or occupied right now, and which table each booking is on. In Make a Rezzy it's the same system that takes your bookings, so the floor plan is always up to date.

Can I have different layouts for lunch and dinner?

Yes. Design a floor plan for each layout, such as lunch, dinner or summer with the patio open, and link each one to the times it runs. Online bookings are only offered tables from the plan in use at that time.

Can I move a booking to another table?

Yes, by dragging it to another table in the booking diary. The live floor plan is kept read-only so nothing gets moved by accident during service; from there you open the booking and change its table.

Does it work on a tablet at the host stand?

Yes. The Make a Rezzy mobile app shows the floor with tables colour-coded by who is seated, who is due next and which are free. Seating a walk-in is two taps: tap a free table, then Seat now.

How much does table management cost?

Nothing extra. The floor plan and table management are part of every Make a Rezzy account, which costs $1.25 per seated cover, capped at $125 a month, with no subscription.
