Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your Make a Rezzy account at any time. This article explains what gets removed, what we are legally required to retain, what happens to the businesses you manage, and how long the whole thing takes.

What happens to your access

When the deletion completes:

  • You are removed from every business you have access to.
  • You can no longer sign in to the management web app, the mobile app, or the customer site with that email.
  • Any in-flight password reset emails or invitations linked to that email become invalid.

What happens to the businesses you manage

  • If other team members remain on a business, the business stays live for them. They keep all bookings, floor plans, settings, and the booking widget on their website.
  • If you are the last team member on a business, the business is deleted alongside your account. Its bookings, guests, floor plans, and Explore page are removed. The widget embed snippet on any external sites will stop working.

What we retain

A small amount of data has to be kept for legal and tax reasons. The categories are:

  • Invoices and billing records.
  • Payment and transaction records needed for accounting and tax purposes.

Retained records are kept only for the period the law requires — typically up to six years in the UK — and are deleted once that window closes.

How to delete your account

  1. Go to www.makearezzy.com/accounts/delete-account/ for the full instructions and impact summary.
  2. Click Initiate account deletion.
  3. Sign in if you are not signed in already.
  4. Re-type your email address as a confirmation. This guard is deliberate — it stops accidental deletions from a shared device.
  5. Submit the form. You are signed out immediately and we email a confirmation to the address on file.

The deletion flow is web-only because of the email-confirmation step. From the mobile app:

  1. Open Account and tap Delete my account.
  2. The app opens https://www.makearezzy.com/accounts/delete-account/ in your browser. Follow the web steps from there.

How long it takes

Deletion requests are completed within 30 days. Most of the data is removed within a few hours; the 30-day window covers anything that has to be removed from backups or audit logs.

Once the window passes, the account cannot be restored. If you change your mind during the 30 days, email support@makearezzy.com and we will cancel the request — provided we have not yet processed it.
