Linking a menu to an event

A menu attached to an event tells guests what they are signing up for — a five-course tasting, a Mother's Day special, the fixed-price Christmas menu.

How event menus work

A menu in Make a Rezzy is a PDF or image file you upload under Business Details → Menus. It has a name, an optional description, and the file itself. The menu does not have courses or dishes broken out — it is a single document.

Attaching a menu to an event simply points the event at one of those uploaded files. Guests booking the event see the menu alongside the rest of the event's details.

Uploading a menu

If you have not already uploaded the menu you want to use:

  1. Open Business Details → Menus.
  2. Add a new menu with a name (for example, "Tasting Menu — Spring 2026"), an optional description, and the file. PDF is most common; JPG and PNG also work.
  3. Save.

The menu is now available for any event to attach to.

Attaching a menu to an event

  1. Open the event from the Events list and click Edit (or start a new event under Create Event).
  2. In the Event Details section, find the Event menu dropdown.
  3. Pick the menu you want. Leave it as None if the event should not show a menu at all.
  4. Click Save.

One menu per event, one event per menu

Each event can have at most one menu. If you run two events on different nights with different menus, upload both menus and attach one to each event.

The reverse also holds: a menu can be attached to at most one event. If you try to attach a menu that another event is already using, you will be blocked. Upload a second copy under a different name to use it on a second event.

Removing or swapping the menu

To swap one menu for another, edit the event and pick a different option from the Event menu dropdown. The old menu is detached and becomes available for other events to use.

To remove the menu entirely, edit the event, set the dropdown to None, and save.

What guests see

On your website listing, an event with an attached menu shows a link to the menu file. Guests can view or download it before they book.
